St.Petersburg hosts 1st Forum of Komi Students 02-03-2011

The Forum organized by the Komi Representation Office in the Northwestern Region of Russia, with the assistance of St.Petersburg Foreign Relations Committee and Youth Committee, was held on 1 March 2011 at St.Petersburg Youth Home.

The Forum was attended by around 200 most active students from 24 leading high schools in the northern capital to discuss the roles and significance of young specialists for the Komi development plans, know more about job opportunities in Komi, tell about their own projects and get acquainted with each other.

The questions from the students were answered by Komi Representative Valery Kyurshin, Deputy Minister of Education of Republic of Komi Svetlana Surina, Head of Department of Forecasting and Economic Staff Development in the Ministry of Economic Development of Republic of Komi Svetlana Glubokaya, Head of Youth Policy Department in the Ministry of Education of Republic of Komi Rodion Korobeinikov and Chairman of Komi Community “Nevatas” Alexander Teryukov.
